We're only down at weekends, so nobody had opened the wine cabinet in a month. Panel read right, but the inside of the glass was beading and a couple of labels were ruined. Door seal and the heater in the pane. Turning it colder had been making it worse.
Cubes had been getting smaller and hollow for months so I assumed the ice maker was done for. He put a gauge on the water valve, showed me the scale in the fill tube and a filter well past it, then cleaned the coil under the bar cabinet while he was down there.
Our Wolf range up in Poinsettia Heights was browning everything on one side, and the oven sat well under what I set it to. He measured with his own probe rather than trusting the front panel, changed the sensor, and waited through a full cycle before leaving.
